‘If you have done wrong, you will face consequences’, what did Robert Vadra say after getting permission to prosecute Kejriwal?

Robert Vadra on Arvind Kejriwal: The Union Home Ministry has given permission to ED to prosecute Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in the money laundering case related to the liquor scam case. After this Robert Vadra has reacted.

On the Home Ministry granting permission to the ED to prosecute Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged liquor scam case, he said, “If he has done something wrong, he will have to face its consequences. The people of Delhi will tell the Aam Aadmi Party in the upcoming elections.” That there is a need for change in Delhi.”

What is the matter?

The Union Home Ministry has given permission to ED to prosecute because Arvind Kejriwal has demanded the Delhi High Court to cancel the case against him in the lower court on the basis of its absence.

Arvind Kejriwal has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court demanding to stop the trial court from taking cognizance of the charge sheet filed by the ED. He says that the ED has not taken permission from the competent authority to prosecute him. Kejriwal has cited the decision of the Supreme Court in which it was said that just as the CBI has to take permission from the competent authority to prosecute government officials under the Prevention of Corruption Act, similarly for the ED in PMLA cases. It is also necessary to do this.
