Illegal immigration: Where and how Bangladeshi enters India, know route, spends only 7 thousand rupees

BSF Operation : Border Security Force (BSF) arrested 7 Bangladeshi infiltrators and 3 Indian brokers while taking a major action in Nadia and Murshidabad districts of West Bengal. All these Bangladeshi citizens were illegally living in India and were trying to escape due to the identity campaign of illegal immigrants being run by the government.

DIG and spokesperson of South Bengal Frontier of BSF NK Pandey said that 146 battalion soldiers were informed about suspicious activities along the Indo-Bangladesh border. On Thursday (6 February), near the Jalangi border post, the patrol team saw 6-7 people trying to cross the border. The soldiers immediately took action, but some people escaped by taking advantage of the dense fog. However, two Bangladeshi citizens were arrested and three bags were recovered during the search.

Clues found from mobile call & nbsp;

During interrogation, a call came on a Bangladeshi’s mobile, which the BSF asked to talk in a normal way. The call was of a broker who was helping them to cross the border illegally. The soldiers called the broker near the customs office in Jalangi and arrested him as soon as he reached the spot. A mobile phone and bike were seized from him.

Bangladeshi was hidden in banana plantations

In further interrogation, it was found that the rest of Bangladeshi was hiding in a banana plantation near Gopalpur Ghat. The BSF conducted a secret operation and asked the broker to call him out through auto-rickshaws and ambulances. As soon as he came out, BSF arrested everyone at 9 am.

Used to take money to cross the border

During interrogation of the accused, it was found that two more Indian brokers were involved in this illegal activity who used to cross the border with Rs 7,000 from every person. The BSF called the broker and asked them to call both of them at Chichinia. When they reached there, the soldiers caught them. One of them tried to attack with a sharp weapon, but was controlled.

BSF recovered 16 mobile phones, bikes, Indians, Bangladeshi, Kenai and Indonesian currency from the arrested accused. DIG Pandey said that this operation has given a big blow to the network of across the border and the network of brokers. BSF is constantly vigilance on boundaries and is fully active to stop such activity.
