Most states of the country have been raining heavy rains since the beginning of July. According to the Meteorological Department, June has received 9% more rainfall than normal. 2024 received 11% less rainfall. 15 states of the country including Bihar, Delhi have received less than normal rainfall.
Rajasthan received 55 mm of rain in June, which is 128% more than normal. Gujarat received 115% (110.8 mm) more rainfall than normal. 21 states and regions have received more rainfall than previous years.
The Meteorological Department said that in the month of July, the entire country will receive 106% more rainfall than normal. 23 states including Madhya Pradesh, UP are expected to receive more rainfall than previous years. At the same time, the temperature in most states will be normal and less.
