The densest fog of the season covered Delhi on Wednesday, which lasted for three hours. Due to this, more than 100 flights and 26 trains were affected due to low visibility. Air pollution has increased in Delhi due to fog.

Here, there may be light snowfall in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir on January 16. The weather in the valley will remain mostly cloudy but dry till January 18.

Whereas, the minimum temperature of Gulmarg was recorded at -7.4°C on Tuesday night. The minimum temperature of Pahalgam was -8.4 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, a new western disturbance is becoming active once again. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain in most parts of North India including Delhi and UP.

Minimum temperatures will drop by 2-3 degrees in northwest and central India in the next 48 hours. Cold and fog will remain.

In Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, the minimum temperature will drop by 2-3 degrees in the next 24 hours. The minimum temperature is expected to increase by 2-3 degrees in the next 48 hours in the Northeast.
