Heavy rains have continued since the monsoon entry in the eastern states of the country. Rainfall continues in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Mizoram, Assam. About 1500 tourists are stranded due to continuous rains in Northern Sikkim. In Meghalaya, 4 died of flood -landslide. These include 3 Myanmar Refugee.

The search for 8 tourists flowing in the Teesta River in Mangan district of the state is going on. Teesta’s water level is increasing continuously. Due to this, there is a problem in search operation. According to Mangan SP, the roads are closed due to landslides in many places. 9 people died in flood -landslide incidents in Arunachal. The government has announced assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the victim families.

Floods and landslides occurred in 17 districts due to continuous rains in Assam. 8 people died in this. More than 78 thousand people are affected. 3 districts have red alert, eight have orange alert. Due to rain water coming from the upper areas of Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya, the flood situation in the state has been further overwhelmed.

In Himachal Pradesh, an orange alert of thunderstorms and storms has been issued for today and tomorrow. On June 1, a warning has been issued for different places in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi and Shimla districts. There is alert for Solan and Sirmaur on 2 June.

Jammu and Kashmir received heavy rains on Saturday in Jammu and Kashmir. Many temperature dropped due to unseasonal snowfall in the hilly areas. In the evening, clouds erupted in Dachhan area of ​​Kishtwar, due to which many animals died. Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar districts received 2-3 inches of snow.
