Cold increased in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The temperature in Gulmarg, famous for tourism in North Kashmir, was recorded at minus 11.5 degrees, while the temperature in Pahalgam was minus 8.4 degrees.

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light snowfall in the valley on the first day of the new year, which will continue throughout this week, due to which the valley will remain cold.

At the same time, in Uttar Pradesh, the maximum temperature decreased by 5 degrees in about 50 districts yesterday. The minimum temperature was recorded at 13 degrees. Similar weather is expected to continue here even today.

Narnaul was the coldest in Haryana on Tuesday. The temperature here was 4.5 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature in Bathinda, Punjab was 5 degrees Celsius.

The effect of cold in Haryana-Punjab reached Rajasthan. Cold increased in many districts here. Sriganganagar and Lukaransar in Bikaner recorded a minimum temperature of 4.6 degrees.
