The Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the temperature of most areas of the country remained between 35 and 39 degrees on the previous day. Maharashtra’s Solapur was the hottest with 39.4 degrees.
At the same time, Himachal Pradesh received snowfall up to 33 cm. Also, rains up to 25.8 mm were recorded. Roads are still closed in many areas of the state. There is no possibility of rain and snow till March 9. However, some areas of the hilly states may receive light rain today.
Apart from this, for the next 2 days, states like the north-western areas of the country i.e. Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh can blow the wind at a speed of 20 to 30 km per hour. Due to this, temperature may fall in many areas.
On March 9, a new Western Disturbance is expected to be active. This will affect the mountainous states of the country. Due to this, there may be rain-barfi in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand.
