The Uttar Pradesh Police has registered a case against social media accounts who post and sell the indecent videos of women bathing people in Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Under the direction of Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Prashant Kumar, action is being taken against those who spread objectionable posts and rumors related to Mahakumbh on social media.
A case has been registered in two cases, one of which has registered a case against Instagram account @Neha1224872024. Unabated videos of women bathing people were being posted from this account.
In the second case, an FIR has been registered against Telegram channel CCTV Channel 11. Videos of women bathing people were being made available at different prices on this channel.
The police has started legal action in this case and attempts are on to arrest the accused. So far 12 FIRs related to social media have been registered in Kumbh.
More than 50 crore people have taken a dip
According to government data, so far more than 50 crore people have taken a dip in the Mahakumbh. Every day millions of people are going to be a part of this mahaparva and there is mobile in every hand. In such a situation, it is not easy to keep an account of who is taking whose photo, whose video is making.
But a dangerous trend is going on in Kumbh, in which pictures and videos of women are being shared on social media while bathing on a large scale in the name of Mahakumbh. Not only are being shared but money is also being earned by selling them.
Shares being held on these accounts
These photos are being shared with hashtags like ‘#Mahakumbh2025’, ‘#Gangasnan’, and ‘#Prayagrajkumbh’ on the name of video, video Kumbh. The dangerous thing is that many of these social media accounts, people are using women’s bathing videos as fodder to take people to the telegram channel with pornographic content.
