The Gujarat government has taken an important decision for the children of primary schools. Under the new decision of the government, now the children of the primary class will have to go to school every Saturday without school bags. These decisions are for children of classes 1 to class 8 and a decision will be implemented in government-infranited schools. That is, there will be Begless Day for children on Saturday, in which physical activity will be done instead of studies.
The Education Department has informed all schools that in addition to studies on Begless Day, physical activity will be done, including yoga, mass drill, cultural activity, games, projects, music, painting, tourism etc.
Decision taken for physical development
The government has taken this decision keeping in mind the mental and physical development of children under the new education policy. Actually, over time, children are now using more mobiles, due to which their mental, social and physical development is affected.
What will happen in schools on Saturday?
In such a situation, now there will be such a day for them in schools only when other activities will be done in addition to studies, which will be important for physical and mental development. Schools have been asked to pay more attention to physical activities like mass drill and yoga so that children can be protected from obesity.
The Education Department has named it blissful Saturday and Begless Day, in which children should do separate activity with fun. For this, training will also be given to a teacher in all schools.
This decision was also taken in Uttarakhand
Earlier in Uttarakhand, this decision was taken under the new education policy. In April, it was decided by the government that on Saturday of every month, ‘Bagless Day’ will be celebrated in government and private schools. On this day, children will not need copies and children will be activated.
