Police have arrested two youths who made illegal recovery from devotees by pretending to have VIP darshan in the famous Banke Bihari temple located in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. Both these accused were active in the temple premises by calling themselves bouncers and used to make them darshan by taking money from people.
Devotees claimed to provide VIP service
According to the police, the names of the arrested accused are Rohit and Lucky alias Chhotu. Both are residents of Mathura and had maintained their identity on social media in the name of ‘Madhav Bouncer Group’. These people used to claim themselves as private security guards and claimed to provide VIP service to the devotees in the crowd.
How did you cheat?
The method of these accused was to be very vicious. They roamed the temple premises as if they were security personnel associated with the temple administration. Whatever devotees wanted to see VIP, they used to collect money from it and then forcibly take him in and get him darshan.
Video used to post on social media
Not only this, they used to post videos of these activities on social media so that more people come and contact them in their deception. When the police came to know about this, the investigation was started.
Action after arrest
Sadar jurisdictional Sandeep Singh said that a case has been registered against these accused and further investigation is being done. The temple administration has made it clear that they have nothing to do with these bouncers.
The police is also investigating who else is involved in this gang and how many people have been collected so far. Banke Bihari Temple is a famous religious place, where thousands of devotees come to visit every day. In such a situation, the administration has increased security and vigilance so that fake people cannot cheat devotees.
