Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu strongly supported India’s military operation Operation Sindoor on Sunday. He described it as a major achievement of the central government and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and called him a “global leader”.
In a special conversation with Aaj Tak, Naidu said that PM Modi prevented the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan from converting into a struggle efficiently. Naidu said, “100 percent, this (Operation Sindoor) is the achievement of the Modi government. No other leader could do this with such accuracy and efficiency. Pahalgam terrorist attack was unfortunate, in which husbands were killed in front of their wives.”

PM Modi named Operation ‘Sindoor’
CM Naidu said that PM Modi named the military campaign “Sindoor” to respond to this terrorist attack, which gave respect to the sentiments of Indian women. Naidu said that within 20 minutes we destroyed terrorist bases and did not attack civilians and defense establishments. The struggle was stopped on time. Prime Minister Modi succeeded in stopping the war. If it went on long, we could have harmed. “
Operation Sindoor was started on 7 May, under which India destroyed 9 terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK), killing more than 100 terrorists. In response, Pakistan carried out drone and missile attacks on India’s border areas and defense installations. India also retaliated and damaged many Pakistani military bases, after which the two countries agreed to stop the fight.
When Naidu was asked on Rahul Gandhi’s allegation whether India bowed under pressure from America, he said, “We do not need to surrender to anyone. We have our own strategy. Who will control Trump? He will speak whatever he wants, but PM Modi has won. We do not want unnecessary controversy, but if someone comes behind us, we will answer.”
Chandrababu Naidu also said that India wants friendly relations with all countries, but there is no “recommendation or support”. He said, “PM Modi is emerging as a big leader on the global stage, which is a matter of pride for India.”

What did Chandrababu Naidu say on Waqf Act
On the issue of the Waqf Act, CM Naidu said that this Waqf Act is in favor of the Muslim community and its purpose is to improve administration, transparency and accountability. He said, “TDP is for all religions and communities including Muslims. Waqf properties should be used for the welfare of minorities. If it is used properly, it is in the interest of Muslims.”
Naidu also reminded that during his tenure in undivided Andhra Pradesh, his government had declared Urdu as the second language in 13 districts. Opposition parties like Congress and AIMIM have challenged the Waqf Act in the Supreme Court, calling them unconstitutional and discriminatory.
Naidu supported ‘one nation, one election’
Naidu also supported the idea of ​​’one nation, one election’, in which Lok Sabha and Assembly elections should be held simultaneously every five years. He said, “We have been supporting it from the beginning. It is not right for democracy to hold again and again. Once the election is held, we can focus on the administration for the next five years.”
Naidu said that recently two elections were held in Maharashtra and Delhi in a single year and now elections are to be held in Bihar too. He said, “We need some electoral reforms,” ​​he also added that the state governments could not work smoothly after the code of conduct was implemented, so this improvement is necessary.
