Radical prisoners: The Union Home Ministry has considered the growing fundamentalism in jails across the country as a serious challenge. To deal with this challenge, letters have been sent by the Ministry to all states and union territories. Necessary guidelines have been given to take appropriate steps in the letter sent by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

To deal with these challenges of fundamentalism, the prisoners will now be screened and monitored from time to time as per the instructions issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Lack of monitoring of jails is in danger of increasing fundamentalism
In fact, due to lack of social separation and surveillance present in jails, there is a danger of increasing fundamentalism. In some cases prisoners plan to attack the jail staff, other prisoners and outside people. Considering this as a serious challenge, the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued instructions.

Follow will be taken even after the prisoner is released from jail
According to the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, mental, social and health evaluation will also be included in the screening. Counseling, education and rehabilitation programs will also be emphasized to prevent fundamentalism. Apart from all this, even after the prisoner is released from jail, work will be done under the follow -up monitoring system for re -joining the society.

The guidelines issued to states and union territories states that the mentality of extremism can be changed by corrective measures and practical rehabilitation. Keeping this in mind, the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued necessary guidelines to take all the steps.
