New Delhi. Former Zimbabwe captain Andy Pycroft has become the fourth referee in the history of men’s Test cricket to complete 100 matches as a match referee with the ‘Boxing Day’ Test between India and Australia on Thursday. . He joined this list on 26 December. He achieved this feat at the age of 68.

In this list, as the most experienced match referee, former Sri Lankan player Ranjan Madugalle is in first place with 225 Tests, while New Zealand’s Jeff Crowe (125) is in second place and England’s Chris Broad (123) is in third place. Pycroft played three Tests and 20 ODIs for Zimbabwe from 1983–1992.

“Pycroft said he has enjoyed every moment of his journey of 100 matches as a match referee, having officiated 238 men’s ODIs, 174 men’s T20s and 21 men’s T20Is since 2009,” the International Cricket Council (ICC) said on its website. She has also played the role of referee in women’s T20 matches. Pycroft said it was a great honor to reach this milestone and added, “It has been a wonderful journey and I have cherished every moment of it.” ,
