When England was celebrating India with 2 wickets for 19 runs, Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill were planning a counter attack. The counter attack was started by Shreyas Iyer. He removed the pressure on India by hitting 50 runs in 30 balls. After this, Shubman Gill ensured India’s victory for 87 runs. India won this match by 4 wickets with 68 balls remaining. With this victory, he has taken a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series. The second ODI of the series will be played on 9 February.

England could not play even even 50 overs
The first ODI between India and England was played in Nagpur on Thursday. While batting first in the match, the English team could not do well and got all out by scoring 248 runs. Indian bowlers covered England in just 47.4 overs. Harshit Rana and Ravindra Jadeja, playing a debut match for India, took three wickets each. Mohammed Shami, Akshar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket each.

Rohit 2 and Yashasvi 15 runs out

Taking wickets was too late…
England shocked some wickets at the end of the Indian innings, but by then it was late. India’s score was 221 runs when he achieved the fourth success as Akshar Patel.
