Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan has said that even though Karun Nair scored 40 off 62 balls in India’s first innings in Lord’s, but such scores do not run your house.
The former cricketer gave advice to Karun Nair.
Michael Won said, “I felt that he (Nair) batted well, but we all know that in cricket, 30 or 40 runs do not run your house. You don’t pay everything.
Nair’s run came at a good rate in the first innings, causing the scoreboard to be stopped and kept the English bowlers. Until the stumps, India was at 145/3, with captain Shubman Gill (16 off 44 balls), Jaiswal (13 off eight balls) and Nair (40 off 62 balls) were dismissed, who looked good for their first 40+ scores in three matches. Archer made a strong comeback and took the wicket of Jaiswal in his first over.
After the seven -wicket defeat in Leeds, Nair was promoted at number 3 as part of the Indian team’s adventure changes. Nair has started well in almost all innings. Nair had to come to bat in the second over when Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for 13 runs off eight balls and he had to face Jofra Archer’s fast bowling from the beginning.
