Rishabh Pant achieved a special achievement on the third day of the third Test being played between India and England at Lord’s. Pant has equaled MS Dhoni in terms of scoring the most half -century as a foreign wicketkeeper in Test cricket on England soil. Pant completed this feat in the first session of the third day, when he completed a half -century in 86 balls.
When Pant came to bat, Team India was at a delicate turn. The pressure on India had increased as Shubman Gill was out. Gill broke Virat Kohli’s record of scoring the most runs in a bilateral Test series in England in this Test. But as soon as he was sent to the pavilion by Chris Woakes, Pant along with KL Rahul took over the Indian innings and made an important century partnership.
