Indian captain Shubman Gill has performed amazing with the bat in the Test match being played against England at Edgbaston ground in Birmingham. Shubman Gill scored a brilliant 269 runs in India’s first innings. Now he has reached close to the century in the second innings of the Indian team.
Shubman Gill has also become the highest run -scorer for India in a Test match. Shubman has broken the 54 -year -old record of Sunil Gavaskar. Gavaskar scored a total of 344 runs (124 & 220) in the Port of Spain Test match against the West Indies in April 1971.
