The second Test match between India and England is going to start in Edgbaston, Birmingham from Wednesday, 2 July. Before this match, many cricket experts have recommended to include Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI. In the first Test, India had decided to enter the field with three fast bowlers, a spin all -rounder and a seam all -rounder. But except Jasprit Bumrah, no bowler could pressurize the English batsmen.
Kuldeep is preparing in full swing in nets
Kuldeep Yadav has been bowling at full speed in net practice for the last few days, which indicates that he is ready to play his first Test after October 2024. According to the weather reports, the pitch of Birmingham may remain more dry than normal and is likely to remain heat for five days, which may be beneficial for spin bowlers.

Peterson advised the attacking mindset
Kuldeep said that during the 2025 IPL, he learned many things from Kevin Peterson, who was mentor in Delhi Capitals, about the tour of England. Kuldeep Yadav said, ‘He gave me a lot of insights for the England Tour. We discussed the field placement, pitch and the mindset of English batsmen. He told me that most of the spinners in England come with defensive mindset. They believe that only fast bowlers will take wickets and the spinners will just support. But Peterson asked me to think upside down. If I am throwing 15-20 overs, then I will have to think of wicket on every ball.
