Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant performed amazing with the bat in the Leeds Test match against England. Rishabh scored a century (134 & 118) in both innings, due to which he became the second wicketkeeper batsman in the world to score two centuries in a Test match. Apart from Pant, only former Jimababwe’s wicketkeeper Andy Flower was able to do this.
Rishabh Pant’s Warning of this doctor …
When Rishabh Pant scored a century in the first innings in the Leeds Test match, he performed ‘Aakabaji’ Celebration. However, he did not celebrate such a celebration after scoring a century in the second innings. Rishabh Pant showed ‘acrobatics’ after scoring a century against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL).
Now the surgeon Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, who treated Rishabh Pant, has warned this wicketkeeper batsman. Pardiwala believes that it is not necessary to celebrate Pant. Pardiwala is also right to say because such movement gives a lot of pressure on the knees and waist. If this is done repeatedly, then the already weak joints can get hurt again. Everything can deteriorate with a wrong angle or bad landing.
Rishabh stayed away from cricketing action for a long time after being injured in a car accident. When Rishabh Pant was engaged in the car accident in December 2022, Pardiwala had done surgery for his knee ligament. Pardiwala is an orthopedic surgeon at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai.
Dinshaw Pardiwala told The Telegraph, ‘Rishabh has learned gymnastics in childhood, due to which he is agile and flexible. ‘Akapari’ is a perfect and well -practiced move, but this is not necessary. Dr. Pardiwala also said that Rishabh Pant was very lucky that he survived in that car accident because the possibility of death is very high in that kind of accident.
Dinshaw Pardiwala says, ‘Rishabh Pant is very lucky that he is alive. In such an accident, in which the car overturns and the fire is caught, the risk of death is very high.
On the other hand, Rishabh Pant had said in a conversation with Sony Sports that he had thought of three types of ways to celebrate. Pant had said, ‘One was that I will talk with the bat itself. Then thought why not show my style. I have been doing ‘acrobatics’ since childhood. I learned gymnastics in school itself.
