Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly believes that in view of the kind of dominance India has shown in the first Test against England, this match should be won in any case because such opportunities do not get again and again. India batted first and scored 471 runs in the first innings with the help of Yashasvi Jaiswal, captain Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant. Ganguly feels that India’s position was to reach 600 runs, especially when the team was at 359/3 by the end of the first day’s play.
Ganguly told PTI, no one thought that the pitch of the headingle would be so dry. But if India had made 600, then the wicket would have started getting up and down. India will have to win this test. Such an opportunity will not be found again. Ganguly also said that he would give Arshdeep Singh a chance instead of the famous Krishna. He said that I would feed Arshdeep, because he is a left -handed bowler and bowls with a different angle. Kuldeep will gradually come into the team. The series is long. But okay, the team is good.
