Fast bowler Harshit Rana has been included as a cover player in India’s Test team for the upcoming Test series against England. He arrived at Leeds by train along with other members of the team, where the first Test match will be played in Handingley from June 20.

Harshit Rana was a part of the India A team recently and took part in the first informal Test played against England Lions in Cantorbury. The long -tall fast bowler has made her debut on the tour of Australia last year, but did not get a place in the 18 -member main Test team declared for the tour of England. 23 -year -old Rana, who hails from Delhi, has so far played two Tests, five ODIs and a T20 matches for India.

The BCCI source said that he has been added as a cover player and he reached Leeds with the team today. Rana was seen coming out with other players of the team at Leeds railway station. The team traveled by train from London to Leeds.

India played only one warm-up match for this Test series, which took place between India vs. Bharat A in Bekanham. During this time, players like KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shardul Thakur, Dhruv Juril and Nitish Reddy had already reached England with India A team and got a chance to play a useful practice match.
