23 -year -old Sai Sudarshan made his Test debut in Leeds for India. However, he could not do anything special in the debut match. Sudarshan was dismissed without opening an account in the first innings. While in the second innings, he continued to score 30 runs. In both innings, Sudarshan was dismissed out of the leg-stump. English captain Ben Stokes dismissed him in both innings.
Sudarshan is out, then whose entry will be?
If Sai Sudarshan is out, then the Indian team will have to find an option for Edgbaston Test. Abhimanyu Ishwaran is at the forefront of this race. Ishwaran is basically an opener, but he can also bat on number-3. On the tour of England, he batted on this position for India-A. Ishwaran is considered a specialist batter of this format and he has the ability to leave the balls, which is necessary to succeed in English conditions.
Dhruv Jurael is also an option. Jurael also performed brilliantly for India-A on the England tour. If Jurael gets a chance in place of Sudarshan, he can play on number-6, while Karun Nair can be sent to number-3. Washington Sundar is also an option, who can do wonders in both batting and bowling for the team.
