New Delhi. Former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has said that whatever happened in the last over of the day’s game at Lord’s on Saturday 12 July is justified and the audience wants this. Indian captain Shubman Gill was seen clashed with England opener Zak Croly in the last over of the game, when Crolly stopped Jasprit Bumrah, who was ready for bowling twice.

Shastri retaliated to tighten the Gill at the England camp and said that if he had been in the place of Gill, he would have done the same. Speaking on Sky Sports, Shastri said, “If I were in the Indian team, I would have done the same. We call it a spectacle. It is all valid, and you want it. You cannot go home just saying ‘Good Morning… Good Evening’.”

Meanwhile, KL Rahul scored his second century in the prestigious Lord’s, before India equaled the score of 387 runs of England’s first innings on the third day of the third Test. Apart from KL Rahul (100 runs off 177 balls), Ravindra Jadeja (72 runs off 131 balls) and vice-captain Rishabh Pant (74 off 112 balls) extended India’s first innings score. It will be challenging for India to bat for the last time because some balls are jumping on the pitch and some turn is also being received.

On the third day, on the fourth ball of the only over of England’s second innings, Crolee showed so that he was hurt in Bumrah. After which Shubman Gill was seen fighting with them. England’s bowling coach Tim Southee said in a press conference after the match, “It is always exciting to see both sides excited in the end. I don’t know what they were complaining about.”
