Dubai: The rope was burnt, but the force did not go… This old saying of Hindi on Pakistan fits perfectly. Despite suffering a crushing defeat to India twice in the Asia Cup, the Pakistani team is not deterred by dialogue.
Pakistani team captain Salman Ali Aga, who reached the final after victory against Bangladesh, says that he is going to defeat India in the final.
Pakistan bowlers took advantage of the opportunity and defended the minor score of 135 runs in the Super 4 on Thursday, winning by 11 runs and won the Asia Cup title for the first time with the arch -rivals India. Salman Aga said in the presentation:
If you win such a match, we are a special team. Everyone played very well. There is a need to improve some batting, but we will work on it. I am very excited We know what we have to do and we are very good team to defeat anyone. We will come and try to defeat them on Sunday.
This will be a third competition between India and Pakistan in the current Asia Cup. Earlier on September 14, India hit the ground by seven wickets in the group stage and six wickets in the Super-Fore Stage on 21 September.
Aga made a special mention of Shaheen Shah Afridi, who received the Player of the Match award for his all -round performance. He says:
Shaheen is a special player. He does what the team needs from them. Very happy for them. We were left behind 15 runs, the way we bowled in the beginning, we can create pressure from it. We bowled well with the new ball. If you bowl like this, then you often win the match.
Shaheen Afridi had earlier helped Pakistan score a struggling score by scoring 19 runs in 13 balls, and then took 3 wickets for 17 runs.
