The final match between India and Pakistan is to be played on Sunday in the Asia Cup. There are all kinds of speculation about the playing XI in this Mahamukabale. It is being said that Arshdeep Singh should be part of the playing XI in the final match. In fact, in the first match of the Asia Cup, when India fed Arshedeep Singh against UAE and fed it to Shivam Dubey, it was a shocking decision. The Think Tank, led by Gautam Gambhir, excluded India’s leading wicket-conclusion to lengthen the batting, who is also India’s most wicket-taking bowler in this format.
Arshdeep Singh’s death bowling masterclass
However, on Friday night, Arshdeep showed how big weapons India had missed him by feeding him continuously. His bowling in the death overs against Sri Lanka proved to be the masterclass and India reached the finals invincible.
He made a tremendous comeback after looting 26 runs in his first two overs in Powerplay. India was proving to be the most expensive in the death overs throughout the tournament, but Arshdeep made the Sri Lankan batsmen alert. He took a wicket for 9 and 11 runs respectively and the 17th and 19th over. His wide-line yorker strategy put pressure on the Sri Lankan batsmen.
Suryakumar Yadav gave Arshdeep the ball in the super over and took two wickets for just two runs. The match was finished in four balls and gave India a victory.
Importance of Arshdeep against Pakistan
Former Indian all -rounder Irfan Pathan also praised Arshdeep and said that he should be in the team. Till now, India is doing three overs from Bumrah to Powerplay, due to which Hardik Pandya has to bowl in the death overs. But if Arshdeep is in the team, then the pair of Bumrah-Arsadeep can completely choke the opposition in the death overs.

India will have options like Arshdeep, Bumrah, Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakraborty and Akshar Patel. Shivam Dubey is being fed for the depth of batting, but the Sri Lanka match showed that without him, India scored the biggest score and in bowling, Arshdeep proved to be “icing icing”.
Pathan told Arshadeep’s need
Irfan Pathan said, during pressure, he himself asks for the ball and puts yorker. Together with Bumrah, they become double threats. I am saying from day one that they should be in the playing XI under any circumstances. Many times you need yorker from both ends and in such circumstances there is no alternative to Arshdeep.
