Will Harmanpreet Kaur play another T20? (PTI)
New Delhi. Harmanpreet Kaur practiced with the Indian team before the second T20 match against England on Tuesday evening and has ‘positive signs’ of their return to 11, said off-spin all-rounder Sneh Rana. Kaur did not play the first match on Saturday (June 28) on Saturday (June 28) due to head injury in a T20 warm-up match against ECB Development XI last week.
In the absence of Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana captained the team and scored his first T20 century while performing brilliantly – 112 (62) – which scored a score of 210/5 in the first innings. The best bowling attack defended it brilliantly, in which Mr. Charani took four wickets and ensured a big win of 97 runs.
Mandhana said after the victory, “As a batsman, it doesn’t matter much. You don’t think that you are captaincy and you bat differently. Whenever you have a bat in your hand, you have to work for the team, whether you are in any situation, so I am very happy that I could contribute today.” The second match will begin on Tuesday (July 1) at 11 pm at IST’s seat at Unique Stadium.
