Colombo: In the Women’s ODI World Cup, there is going to be a fierce contest between India and Pakistan on Sunday. When the women’s team of both the country collides with each other in the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor and then in the Asia Cup, then the eyes of the whole world will be on this match. But rain can become a villain in this match.
According to the Meteorological Department, sporadic rains and 99 percent cloudy are expected. If the rain does not stop and the ground remains wet, then the match can start with delay. This will be the second match of both teams in the tournament. Where India has defeated Sri Lanka in the opening match, Pakistan had to face a crushing defeat at the hands of Bangladesh.
Currently, Australia is at the top with three points in two matches in the points table, while Sri Lanka is fifth in the table with one point in two matches. If the Indian team is at number four, Pakistan is at the sixth position.
India’s bowling coach Invention Salvi said on the eve of the match that the arch rival will show its best game against Pakistan. Salvi said that despite good records against Pakistan, the Indian team is not taking its neighboring country lightly.
There have always been discussions between India and Pakistan, but so far in women’s cricket, the match against the arch rival has been one-sided and India’s record of victory in the women’s ODI has been 11-0.
India’s bowling also has a deep depth, due to which the main fast bowler Renuka Thakur was rested in the initial match of the tournament. India’s spin unit is the biggest strength of the team which includes experienced Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana and Mr. Charani.
