The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has declared Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan as Vice Presidential candidate, but the announcement of his candidate remains from the opposition India alliance. If sources are to be believed, in the upcoming Vice Presidential elections, a common candidate of India alliance will field.
Today, a meeting of leaders of all opposition parties has been called at 12:30 pm at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. It is expected that after the meeting, the name of the candidate will be officially announced.
Which names are discussing the opposition on which names
According to sources, the top leaders of India block are discussing many names. These include the name of Malswamy Annadurai, former scientist of ISRO, who led the Chandrayaan-1 project. The opposition wants this election to be presented as a fight to protect democracy and constitution. According to the news, one of the names which is being discussed is also from Tiruchi, MP of DMK from Tamil Nadu.
Apart from this, the name of Mahatma Gandhi’s great -grandson and historian Tushar Gandhi has also come under the initial discussion, so that this election can be shown as an ideological struggle against the BJP. Also, a Dalit intellectual from Maharashtra is also being considered as the Vice Presidential candidate of India Block.
Radhakrishnan met PM Modi
NDA Vice Presidential candidate CP Radhakrishnan reached Delhi on Monday. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and several senior BJP leaders were present to welcome him at the airport. During this time he was welcomed warmly. After reaching Delhi, Radhakrishnan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
