‘India can intervene in our general election’, Canada’s intelligence agency claims – Canada Claims India May seek to meddle in general election on April 24 NTC

Prior to April 24, Canada has made a big charge on India. Canada has said that India can try to intervene in elections, as relations between the two countries have reached the lowest level so far.

According to news agency Reuters, the Canadian intelligence agency claimed on Monday that India and China could try to intervene in the upcoming Canada general election. It has been claimed that Russia and Pakistan can also try to do so. Newly appointed Prime Minister Mark Karney has decided to hold a quick election on 28 April.

Canadian Safety Intelligence Service (CSIS) made this comment at a time when Ottawa’s relations with New Delhi are going through a very delicate phase. In fact, Canada promotes anti -India elements and Khalistani supporters active on its land and has alleged India of India’s involvement in the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Claim of intervention through AI

Vanessa Lloyd, Deputy Director of Canadian Safety Intelligence Service, said that hostile government elements are rapidly benefiting Artificial Intelligence to intervene in elections. Reuters quoted Lloyd as saying, “There is a strong possibility that the PRC (People’s Republic of China) will use AI equipped to intervene in the Canadian democratic process in this current election.”

He said, “We have also seen that the Government of India has the intention and ability to intervene in Canadian communities and democratic processes.”

Such allegations have been made earlier also

Even before this, Canada has made similar allegations which India has dismissed outright. Former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appeared before a committee investigating foreign intervention in the 2019 and 2021 Canadian elections, where he faced allegations of foreign forces attempts to influence elections.
