Ganguly scored a brilliant 131 runs in the debut test. Rahul Dravid (95) missed a century by just 5 runs. The 94 -run partnership of both laid the foundation of the golden era of Indian cricket. In the NetWest Trophy final in 2002, India won by chasing 325 runs of England. Captain Ganguly celebrated it by waving a shirt on Lord’s balcony. This answer was to wave Andrew Flintoff in Mumbai. Ganguly’s celebration became a symbol of the confidence of Indian cricket.

Rahul Dravid also captained the Indian team. He won the Pataudi Trophy to the team as a captain in 2007. That was the last time when India entered the house and killed the British.
