Pahalgam terror attack: India Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar has described the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir as an economic attack. He said that the purpose of this attack was to harm tourism in Kashmir. Jaishankar clearly said that even if a nuclear attack on India is threatened, action will not stop on terrorism coming from Pakistan.
US President Trump’s claim rejected
In a conversation with Newsweek in New York, S.K. Jaishankar said that this attack was carried out not only to scare people, but with the intention of ending tourism through Kashmir’s earnings. The Foreign Minister called the statement of US President Donald Trump wrong in which he said that the US got the pressure of trade deal on India and Pakistan.
Jaishankar said, “I was with Prime Minister Modi myself when America’s Vice President JD Vance spoke on the phone. There was no mention of the trade deal in that conversation.” He also said that India will stand against terrorism and no threat or pressure can stop us.
Foreign Minister made a big disclosure
The Foreign Minister made a big disclosure that when Pakistan warned of a major attack on India on the night of May 9, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a tough stance by ignoring any pressure or fear.
S. Jaishankar said, “I was in the room when America’s Vice President JD Vance spoke to PM Modi and said that Pakistan is going to attack India a huge attack, but we refused to accept some conditions and the Prime Minister did not care for Pakistan’s threat at all.”
He further said, “In contrast, the Prime Minister made a clear indication that the answer will be given from India.” Jaishankar told in the conversation that Pakistan really made a big attack on India the same night, but the Indian Army immediately gave a strong reply.
What said on Pakistan’s ceasefire proposal. Jaishankar?
Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar also made a big statement about the conversation with the US and the ceasefire proposal of Pakistan. In FIRESIDE CAT with New York CEO Dev Pradad, Jaishankar said that India’s response after Pakistan’s terrorist attacks on India was completely self -sufficient and solid.
What happened on 10 May?
He told that on the morning of May 10, he had a conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in which Rubio said that Pakistan is ready to talk. In the afternoon the same day, Pakistan’s DGMO Major General Kashif Abdullah called India’s DGMO Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai and appealed to the ceasefire.
The Foreign Minister said about the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, “It was like an economic war, which was aimed at breaking the backbone of the economy of Kashmir. Also, killing people by asking people to kill religious violence was an attempt to incite religious violence.” He said that for years, the process of terrorism has been going on from Pakistan, but this time there was a feeling of the country that now it is enough.
Trump again made a big claim about ceasefire
Trump said in a press conference in The Hague on Wednesday, “I stopped the controversy by making many trade calls.
Reacting to this, Jaishankar clarified that India never connected business with diplomacy. He said that these are two different processes and there is no truth in Trump’s claim.
