The court has also given relief to YouTuber Ashish Chanchalani, another accused of India’s Got Latent Show Controver. The Guwahati police had registered an FIR against him on the charges of porn comedy in the show. Regarding this, Ashish had filed a petition in the Guwahati High Court and appealed for anticipatory bail, on which the court has given him a bail.
An FIR was lodged against him on 12 February under various sections of the Indian Code (BNS). Justice Mridul Kumar Kalita has given relief from the arrest to Ashish Chanchalani, but has directed that within ten days he will have to appear before the investigating officers. The court will now hold the next hearing on 7 March. This will be the final hiring in this case.
In the case of YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia, the Supreme Court has stayed the arrest and said that no other FIR should be lodged against him in this case. Arrest has been banned against him in the FIRs lodged against him in Mumbai, Assam and Jaipur. On 16 February, Ranveer appealed to the Supreme Court to add FIRs lodged against him in different states together. His case is the former Chief Justice of the country, D.Y. Chandrachud’s son Abhinav Chandrachud is fighting.
The Supreme Court, while hearing, criticized Ranveer’s comments and said that his mind is filled with dirt. He said that parents and sisters would feel embarrassed by this. They should be ashamed that they have brought their parents to such a situation. The court told him strictly that if he is famous, he has got a license to speak anything.
In addition to Ranveer and Ashish, the episode of India’s Got Latent Show was going on, in addition to Ranveer and Ashish, Raina and Approva Makhija were also there. Many political parties have also objected to the comments and language made in that episode of the show and have accused the four of doing porn comedy.
