India in un: India’s permanent representative Parvathaneni Harish in the United Nations (UN) strongly criticized Pakistani claims and statements on Jammu and Kashmir on Friday (14 March). He also said that this integral part of India will not become Pakistan due to repeated raga of Jammu and Kashmir. Parvathaneni said in a clear tone that Jammu and Kashmir was always an integral part of India, and will remain.
Parvathaneni heard Pakistan in the ongoing UN meeting to celebrate International Day to deal with Islamophobia worldwide. Reading India’s reply on the recent statement in the UN of Pakistan, he said, “As usual, the former Foreign Secretary of Pakistan once again gave unnecessary reference to the Indian Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir. By repeatedly taking out the matter of Jammu and Kashmir, neither their claim on this area will be valid nor will it be appropriate to follow terrorism across the border. He said, ‘Such efforts of Pakistan will not change the reality that Jammu and Kashmir was an integral part of India, and will always be.’
This statement of Harish Parvathaneni on behalf of the Government of India came on Friday after India dismissed the allegations of Pakistan, in which Pakistan stated India’s role in the train hijack. India dismissed these allegations and said that the world is well aware of where the real center of global terrorism is.
‘India is one of the largest Muslim population’
Harish Parvathaneni said in the UN session, ‘India is a land of diversity and pluralism. India has more than 200 million Muslims and is one of the largest Muslim population in the world. India is united as a UN member in condemning incidents of religious intolerance against Muslims. Harish also said that promoting a world free from religious discrimination, hatred and violence has always been a way for India to live life.
