HAL will make LCA Mark 1-A Fighter Jet
According to the report of news agency ANI, these fighter jets will be constructed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). This will be the second order for LCA Mark 1-A fighter aircraft. The central government has ordered a few years ago to order about 48 thousand crore rupees for 83 fighter jets. These new fighters will replace Jet MiG-21. MiG-21 is old, due to which the Indian Air Force is putting them out of the service.
What is LCA Mark 1-A strength?
The Indian Air Force will completely exclude MiG-21 from the fleet in the coming few weeks. LCA Mark-1 A is a state-of-the-art fighter jet, which has better avionics, modern radar technology and high level of firepower. More than 65 percent indigenous goods will be used in these. Experts believe that this will not only increase technical self -sufficiency in the defense sector, but will also benefit a big benefit in the aerospace industry.
According to the report, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is going to get a deal to buy more than 200 LCA Mark2 and the same fifth generation advanced fighter jet. This will give a new identity to India’s indigenous defense production capacity.
MiG-21 will be farewell
The Indian Air Force (IAF) is going to say goodbye to its oldest and historical fighter aircraft MiG-21 on 19 September 2025. 23 Squadron (Panthers) at Chandigarh Airbase will bid farewell to this aircraft in a special ceremony. In 1963, it was first inducted into the Indian Army. This fighter jet increased India’s strength in the 1962 battle. It was created by the Soviet Union (now Russia), which could fly fast at the speed of sound.
