A major delivery of the aggressive capacity of the Indian Army and a tremendous lead to reconnaissance campaigns is going to take place on July 21. On this day, India is going to get the first batch of Apache AH-64E from America. According to sources associated with defense and security establishments, these helicopters will be deployed on the Pakistan border, which will increase the ability of accurate and effective attack on the enemy manifold.
Hindon will land on the airbase ‘Tanks in the Air’
These advanced helicopters, popularly known as ‘Tanx in the Air’, will land at Hindon Air Force Station of the Indian Air Force. Earlier in 2023, the army’s first Apache squadron was formed in Jodhpur, but their deployment was repeatedly postponed due to obstruction in the global supply chain and geopolitical changes. Currently, two Apache squadron of the Indian Air Force is already active. One in Pathankot and the other in Jorhat.
First deal was done in 2015, second during Trump’s visit
India made the first deal of 22 Apache helicopters with the US and Boeing in 2015, which was completed in July 2020. This was followed by a $ 600 million deal signed in 2020 during the then US President Donald Trump’s visit to India, under which 6 Apache helicopters were purchased for the army. Their delivery was to be held between May-June 2024, but it was delayed.
Apache is also being made in India from Tata-Boing Joint Venture
In 2023, the first helicopter to the Army in Hyderabad Tata-Boeing Aerospace Ltd. Was met, which was a big step under Make-in-India.

Apache helicopters are equipped with modern targeting systems, which provide accurate data in every season. These include night vision navigation systems, latest communication, sensors, navigation and arms systems, which increase the military’s firepower manifold. The world’s most dangerous Apache helicopter can create 128 perfect targets in a minute, while it also has a night vision sensor, which can attack it at night. Pakistan will sleep as soon as this helicopter joins the Indian Army.
