The Eastern Command of the Army shared the cutting of the newspaper of 5 August 1971 on Tuesday.
The Indian Army on Tuesday shared a 1971 newspaper cutting and targeted the US. It shows that America was giving weapons to Pakistan in preparation for the 1971 war.
The Eastern Command of the Army wrote in the X post- ‘On this day, that year, the preparation of the war 05 August 1971, learn the fact. Since 1954, US weapons worth $ 2 billion have been sent to Pakistan.
This post of the Indian Army came a day after US President Donald Trump threatened to put more tariffs on India. Trump said on Monday- India is buying cheap oil from Russia and selling it in the open market with profits. I will increase the tariffs on India hugely.
The newspaper of 5 August 1971, which has been shared by the Indian Army today. It states that from 1954 to 1971, Pakistan was sent to Pakistan $ 2 billion weapons.
