Indian money in swiss bank: In Switzerland, the deposits of Indians in Switzerland will increase more than three times in 2024 to 3.54 billion Swiss Frank i.e. about 37,600 crore Indian rupees. This was revealed by Swiss National Bank (SNB) on Wednesday (June 19).
According to the news agency PTI, most of the increase in this fund has been made from bank channels and other financial institutions and not from personal bank accounts. There was a slight increase in the amount deposited in the accounts of Indian customers. The amount deposited in these accounts increased by 11 percent to 346 million Swiss Frank (Rs 3,675 crore). This amount is just 10th of the total Indian amount deposited in Swiss bank.
How much fund of India is in Swiss bank?
SNB has reported that India has a total of 3534.54 Milin Swiss Frank amount in Swiss banks. It includes 3.02 billion Swiss Frank banks, 346 million Swiss Frank individual accounts, 41 million Swiss Frank Trust and 135 million Swiss Frank Bonds and Securities.
In the year 2023, there was a 70% decline in deposits
Unlike 2024, in 2023, these funds fell by 70 per cent, which reached a four -year low i.e. 1.04 billion francs. However, this is still less than the all -time high of 6.5 billion Frank in 2006.
SNB data is based on the official reports of banks and does not provide details about alleged black money or accounts kept through institutions in other countries. Swiss authorities have repeatedly said that these funds cannot be called black money.
Switzerland is sharing details since 2019
Switzerland is sharing the annual financial statements of Indian citizens as part of an agreement to share information from 2018. Indian officials got the first data in September 2019. Since then, regular information is being shared continuously, including sharing information about suspicious accounts related to financial irregularities.
How many rupees of Pakistan deposited in Swiss bank?
In terms of funds deposited in Swiss banks, India has increased from 67th place to 48th place. However, it is still below the 46th place at the end of 2022. Talking about Pakistan, its deposit has declined and now its 272 million Swiss Frank is deposited in SNB, while Bangladesh’s deposit has increased to 589 million Swiss Frank.
Britain’s highest fund deposited in SNB
If we talk about the most funds, Britain is at the top of it. A total of 222 billion of the United Kingdom is deposited in Swiss Frank SNB. At the same time, there is America at number two, whose 89 billion Frank and then 68 billion dollars of West Indies are kept in this bank. Swiss bank also has funds from Germany, France, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Singapore and UAE.
