The Indian women’s cricket team was announced for the ODI World Cup 2025 on Tuesday. The tournament will be played in India from 30 September. This time there have been some shocking decisions in the selection. Fast bowler Renuka Thakur has returned to the team by fit, while the aggressive opener Shefali Verma could not find a place.
The team will captain the team in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, while Smriti Mandhana has been selected as the vice -captain.
… Shefali’s absence
Renuka Thakur’s fitness was being questioned for a long time, finally he has been included in the World Cup team. On the other hand, the exclusion of Shefali Verma is considered a tough decision. His aggressive batting has been effective for India on many occasions.
Pritka Rawal rewarded
Top order young batsman Pritka Rawal has also been given a chance. He scored good runs in the last 14 ODIs and confirmed his place. Team management is considering him a player to bring him stability in India’s batting.
