Indigo new flight service: India’s leading airline IndiGo announced on Tuesday (May 20, 2025) that direct flights would be started from Tamil Nadu’s cultural city Madurai from June 13, 2025. This flight will run three days a week (TRAI-Vikali). With this new service, Madurai will become the 16th city of India directly connecting with Abu Dhabi.
This service will not only make the international journey smooth and accessible, but will also prove to be helpful in exporting local trade, agricultural products, textile industry and other items. This has taken another step towards connecting small cities to the global market.
Direct flight for Abu Dhabi from Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam before Madurai
IndiGo recently announced direct flights from Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam to Abu Dhabi. Now adding Madurai is the next big step in this episode. According to Indigo, direct flight will reduce travel time, passengers will not require connecting flights, which will provide more convenience to businessmen, students and families.
