Passengers also took help of social media to put pressure on the airline. Passengers also alleged bad behavior of the staff and not giving correct information.

Flight 6E17 was scheduled to depart for the Turkish city Istanbul at 6:55 am.

The passenger was going from Bhopal to Mumbai and then to Chennai by connecting flight. The passenger was a BP and diabetes patient, but Air India did not allow him to keep medicines in the cabin bag during the journey.

Apart from this, despite repeated requests, even a wheelchair was not made available. After reaching Chennai, he was told that his bag was left in Mumbai. The bag was delivered to the hotel after 5 hours.

The forum blamed Air India’s service and imposed a penalty of Rs 20,000, Rs 25,000 for mental distress and Rs 10,000 as compensation for the case.

2. Flight delay, lack of arrangement The passenger was returning from America to India after his daughter’s admission. His flight got canceled at Delhi airport due to technical reasons. Gave a seat on the 3 pm flight. During this period, Air India neither made arrangements for his food nor provided him diabetes medicines.

In this case, the forum imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 for lack of service, Rs 20,000 for mental distress and Rs 5,000 for expenses incurred in the case.
