Indigo airlines pilot harassment case: IndiGo Airlines is once again engulfed in controversies. A trainee pilot has filed an FIR against three senior officials of Airlines, making serious allegations under the SC/ST Act and the Indian Justice Code (BNS). It is alleged that trainee pilots were treated in the company’s office on caste basis. The complaining pilot said that he was informed by saying that he was not worth flying and was said to be an abusive thing as ‘jumped slippers’.
The case was earlier recorded as Zero FIR in Bangalore, which was later transferred to DLF Phase-1 police station in Gurugram. Even after the FIR was registered, IndiGo Airlines has not made any official remarks on the matter. At present, the police is investigating the case and the process of recording the statements of the officials concerned is going on.
Trainee pilot made serious allegations against senior officials
The 35 -year -old Trainee Pilot has made serious allegations against his three senior officials. He says that he was called bad, humiliated on the basis of caste and was also harassed on the pretext of work.
Pilot said this in his complaint
Pilot said in his complaint that on 28 April he was called for a meeting at Indigo’s Head Office (Emar Capital Tower-2, Gurugram). Tapas Dey, Manish Sahni and Captain Rahul Patil, who were present here, abused him and made caste comments.
The pilot alleged, “As soon as I reached the office, I was asked to keep your phone and bag out. Then in the meeting, he said- You are not worth flying the airplane, go back and chappals. Here you are not even worth becoming a watchman.”
The victim Payalat said that he also raised this case with the big officials of the company and the Ethics Committee, but no hearing was held. Finally, he had to contact the SC/ST cell and had to register an FIR.
