The smugglers arrested in the joint operation of BSF and Punjab Police and recovered weapons from them.
The Border Security Force (BBSF) personnel and Punjab Police have arrested two smugglers with consignments of arms and heroin under ten joint operations along the Punjab-Pakistan border. Seized consignment and weapons sent to India by drone by Pakistani smugglers

The first campaign was conducted in Fazilka district, where the BSF team searched a suspected house in collaboration with local SSOC Fazilka. During this time two smugglers were arrested. He has been identified as Kuldeep Singh and Raghav Kumar. Two pistols, 9 mm cartridges filled with 23 bullets, two magazines and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the smugglers.
This action was taken from a farmhouse in Abohar district, where the smugglers kept these goods hidden. The arrested smugglers have been handed over to the local police to identify and investigate their network. The police is now interrogating these smugglers and finding the link for them back and forth.

Heroin and weapon recovered in Gurdaspur district
The second operation was performed in village Ghaleri in Gurdaspur district. Here the BSF along with the Punjab Police recovered two packets of heroin from a black bag. The heroin weighed 1.07 kg. Apart from this, two pistols of .30 bore, 46 bullets of cartridges of .30 bore, 20 bullets of 9 mm and four magazines were also found in this bag.
This consignment was thrown by Pakistani smugglers via drone. During this time a bag was also found, on which a picture of former cricketer Shahid Afridi remained.
Pistol and mobile met on March 12
Earlier on March 12, two pistols and mobile phones sent by Pakistani smugglers were recovered from the border village of Amritsar. After which the phone was seized and sent for forensic investigation. Security agencies are trying to find out the intention of smugglers behind sending pistols.
