Influencer of India on the radar of Pak … Why is ISI focusing on Punjab -Haryana

In connection with espionage, a wave of arrests in northern states like Punjab and Haryana has shocked the entire country. In view of Operation Sindoor, about a dozen ‘detectives’, including 33 -year -old travel Vialon Jyoti Rani Malhotra of Haryana, have been arrested. Those arrested are accused of allegedly spying for Pakistani intelligence agencies.

According to official sources, both Punjab and Haryana have a large number of military establishments including important cantonment, air force stations, missiles and defense systems, which are very important for the enemy country. As part of the strategy, innocent people visiting Pakistan from both northern states are often targeted to obtain secret information.

Recently, intelligence agencies become active at the grassroots level at the time of war -like situation, so that real -time activities and especially military properties can be tracking. The smallest information is also important for the enemy. Central agencies often monitor the suspects – share real -time information with the state police.

Sources say that many persons are questioned after input, while some are monitored in normal times, but during the operation vermilion, central agencies worked together with the state police to ensure that the suspects were caught.

Based on the findings of the inquiry and the evidence collected, suspected espionage persons are being detained. Apart from regular individuals working as an intermediary for enemy detective networks, Pakistan is also looking for an impressive person- this is where Jyoti Malhotra fits here. She was under the supervision of Indian intelligence agencies for almost two years. His arrest is part of a major campaign, in which a dozen people have been detained in Haryana and Punjab.

Sources show that the Pakistan High Commission was looking for a social media “influential person” to promote a favorable story and impress public perception. At a significant turn after the Pahalgam terror attack, he posted a post on social media. He said, “Not only the government, this (attack) is the responsibility of every person who goes to these places and should be cautious. I know that security system is very strong in Jammu and Kashmir and there are army and police personnel in every corner. If something like this has happened, then we are also guilty in some way.

He said that he was allegedly targeting someone who could be easily tricked. Haryana SGPC member Harkirat is also under investigation on charges of introducing Malhotra to Pakistan High Commission officials. It is being seen whether more people were also introduced in Pakistan High Commission. A top-level source revealed that Malhotra’s previous Pakistan visit had already raised the alarm bell. In such cases the standard protocols include calling the person for questioning and checking digital records including mobile phones.

However, despite receiving the alert, the Haryana Police initially refrained from taking action- possibly done due to public profiles as a prominent influential person of Malhotra, but after indicating by central agencies, the suspects were raided. Her phone records show that she was in constant touch with Pakistan ISI using WhatsApp, Telegram etc. and even had close ties with at least one official of ISI. This changed with the launch of Operation Sindoor. During this time the police questioned and later arrested him.

Investigators claim that Malhotra had to go through the process of ideological training, before he was tasked to spread special things in favor of Pakistan. During interrogation, he reportedly did not show any regrets and said that his work was his freedom to express.

Officials allege that Malhotra was being prepared as a property by Pakistan’s ISI and maintained contact with Ahsan Ur Rehman, also known as Danish. He is not the only person to attract attention after a visit to Pakistan – officials say that ISI henchmen often contact Indian visitors during such visits to try to recruit them, especially during sensitive times like Operation Sindoor.

Malerkotla, Punjab: Ghazala and Yameen Mohammed were arrested to assist Danish in financial and visa facility.

Kaithal, Haryana: Sikh student Devinder Singh Dhillon was admitted during Pakistan’s pilgrimage and later sent videos to sensitive Indian places.

Nuh, Haryana: Local youth Armaan supplied the Indian SIM card, sent money and visited strategic sites like Defense Expo 2025 on the instructions of Danish.

Nuh, Haryana: The praise was asked to send pictures of Sirsa Air Force Station, and in this case he has been arrested.

Sukhpreet and Karanbir were arrested on May 15 after reliable input, which revealed that the two were allegedly engaged in sharing confidential information related to Operation Sindoor, including army movement and significant strategic places.

Sources say that this policy of use and throw is adopted in most cases – the network is used by working in cutouts, where one person is not connected to another. A minor amount is paid between 5000 and 7000 rupees. Photos of military cantonments, information related to convoy are sought. Most of the people targeted by Pak ISI are less understanding individuals.
