The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has busted the big drugs racket active in the capital, many shocking revelations have been made during the investigation. The police, while taking action in this case, recovered 5 Nigerian youths while recovering drugs worth Rs 100 crore. The arrested accused have opened many secrets of international drug cartel before the police during interrogation.
According to the police, the entire gang used to deliver drugs home in a high-tech manner, just as you use food delivery apps like Swigi-Jomato for food or grocery. Police investigation revealed that this gang had designed the ‘drug delivery system’ exactly like a food delivery app. Like Swigi-Jomato, the location of delivery boy was tracked.
The real-time location of the customer was shared in the drug app. Not only this, this racket had also fixed the uniform for drug delivery boys, so that the customer can identify that the person standing in front is the one who has come to deliver the drugs. Nigerian youths who were caught police were living in Delhi for many years. By ordering drugs from abroad, he used to do delivery at local level.
Open layers of international drug cartel
The demand for drugs was taken directly from WhatsApp and VOIP calls. The order was registered in a call center in Nigeria. After this, the distributors present in Delhi-NCR were given location. The roots of this racket were not limited to Delhi only. Police investigation revealed that its network extends to Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the UK.
Drug network spread in Delhi-NCR
Members of this cartel used to use such Messenger apps that were end-to-end incryted, so that no one could track their conversation. Not only this, even if a delivery boy had climbed the police, the supply was completed by sending another person immediately. This cartel was active in posh areas like Saket, Vasantkunj, Chhatarpur, Vasant Vihar, Malviya Nagar, Moti Nagar and Punjabi Bagh in Delhi.
Indian women used to smuggle
Apart from this, drugs were supplied to Noida and Gurugram. The biggest disclosure in this case was that this Nigerian drug cartel used Indian women to deliver drugs in India. These women used to hide drugs in their bags and suitcases and bring them from abroad to Delhi. After this, the drugs were handed over to local operatives. Nigerians used to adulterate drugs to customers.
Colombian drugs, seizure of 100 crores
Among the drugs recovered in the Crime Branch raid of the Delhi Police, the maximum amount of drugs brought from Colombia. Police have also seized many types of drugs, digital equipment and networking tools. This seizure made it clear that Nigerian Cartel’s network in Delhi-NCR is very deep and dangerous. The presence of international drug network in the country has been revealed.
