New Delhi. The fan base of IPL (IPL 2008) is very high since the beginning in 2008. Every year players from every country come to India to participate in the IPL. Injamam ul Haq may not like this. He has urged every board that just as India does not allow its players to participate in the T20 league, similarly the board of other countries should not send its players to India.
Former Pakistani captain, who appeared in a Pakistan news channel show ‘Champions Trophy Hungama’, severely criticized the IPL. On the absence of Indian players in foreign leagues, Inzamam argued that all boards should adopt a “Tit” approach to protect their interests.
Inzamam said, “Every player from every country comes to play IPL. But BCCI does not allow any Indian player to play in any league of other countries. Every board should stop sending its players for IPL from now on. If you do not release your players, then any other board should take the stand, right? “
Inzamam’s IPL boycott statement has come before the 18th season. Which is going to start on 22 March 2025. The first match is to be held between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Eden Gardens in Kolkata and the league will end with the final match on 25 May. It will be interesting to see which team plays this season.
