New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders have made a replacement of Umran Malik for Left Arm Pesar Chetan Sakaria for the new season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) starting on 22 March. Umran Malik is out of the season due to injury. In the mega auction, KKR bought their base price i.e. just 75 lakh rupees. Now Chetan is also associated with the team at this cost.
Out of Team India for four years
27 -year -old Chetan would like to capitalize on this occasion with both hands. Umran’s injury for him can prove to be a lottery for him after being unsold in the IPL mega auction. In 2021, he created a sensation for Rajasthan Royals with 14 wickets in his opening season. After which he got a chance in Direct Team India. He was out of the team after playing one ODI and two T20s on Sri Lanka tour in 2021.
