Iran fired missiles at Qatar and American military bases in Qatar and Iraq, two days after the US air strikes on their nuclear bases. Iranian Government Television announced the introduction of ‘Operation Desirat Fatah’ and confirmed the attack on America’s ‘Al-Udeed Air Base’ in Qatar. Rockets were also fired on ‘Ain al-Assad Base’, a American soldiers in Iraq. About 10,000 US soldiers are deployed at Al-Udeed Air Base located outside Doha. It is the largest American military base in the Middle East and serves as an important center for operations in the entire region.
After Iran has targeted the American military bases, the situation in the Middle East is becoming more likely to deteriorate. US President Donald Trump reached the situation room and called an emergency meeting soon after the missile and rocket attacks at the Al-Udeed Air Base in Doha and An al-Assad Base in Iraq. US Defense Secretary PT Hegaseth and Joint Chief of Staff Chairman General Dan Kane was present in this meeting. It is believed that the US can intensify its action against Iran in response to the attack on its military bases.
