Pakistan has made it clear that so far no military help has been demanded by Iran in the war against Israel. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Shafkat Ali Khan said on Thursday that Pakistan gives full moral support to Iran and strongly condemns the Israeli attacks on it. He said that Iran has the right to take steps for its safety and it has this right under the United Nations Charter.
According to the news agency PTI, the spokesperson said that neither Iran has sought any help from Pakistan nor requested military assistance. He also informed that 21 Muslim countries together described Israel’s action as a violation of international law and United Nations Rules.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has recently expressed concern over the increasing tension in the area by talking to the foreign ministers of Iran, Turkey, Egypt, UAE and Britain. He said that Israel’s action can prove dangerous not only for Iran, but for the entire region.
Shafkat Ali Khan also said that targeting Iran’s nuclear sites is a violation of the International Atomic Agency (IAEA) rules and other global laws. He said that the work of evacuating the Pakistani citizens present in Iran is going on and so far about 3000 citizens have been brought back.
