A session of Artificial Intelligence, Human Mind Vs Machine Mind: The Race of Superintendent (Human MIND VS MAND: The Race for Superintelligence) attended Professor Dr. P. Murali Doraswami. P Murali is an Indian scientist, psychiatrist and a professor at Duke University School of Medicine in the US.
Will doctors’ jobs take away AI
In the session, P Murali told how AI’s Dhak is increasing in medical science. On this, he was questioned whether your job will also be lost from AI? So he said, ‘I know that everyone knows the answer. AI will not replace doctors. But the doctors who will not use AI. This will take their place.
Not scared of technology, adopt it
He said, ‘This is like everything else. If the doctor does not have a X-ray machine or stethoscope, then what will you go to such a doctor. To be honest, AI is very sensitive. AI will catch many small things that doctors will not be able to see. So I will trust it more. We have studied in which it is shown that if you take a common MRI scan and pass it through AI, AI takes many small wounds that cannot see the doctor’s eye. Therefore, both humans and AI can do the best diagnosis and can also give treatment.
When asked if your job is safe or not, then P Murali said, ‘I think my job is safe because first of all I am involved in research. There is a saying that if you are not on the table then you are in the menu … So I am on the table.
