Israel News: Israeli security forces killed Hamas’s military intelligence chief Osama Tabash during an airstrike in the Southern Gaza Strip. The Israeli Army (IDF) and Internal Security Agency Shin Bet issued a joint statement and confirmed this.
Tabash was among the senior commanders of Hamas. He was also a battalion commander in the Khan YouNIS Brigade and was leading Hamas’s monitoring and targeting unit. However, so far Hamas has not given any official response to his death.
Who was Osama Tabash?
Osama Tabash played an important role in Hamas’s military operations for years. He was involved in planning and executing several attacks against Israel. These include the name of the suicide bomb blast at Gush Katif Junction in Gaza Patti in 2005, killing Odede Sharon, Coordinator of Shin Bet.
Hamas’s leading strategist of military activities
According to IDF and Shin Bet, Tabash used to form a war strategy of Hamas. He was leading Hamas’s military intelligence unit, which used to collect intelligence information to identify goals in Israel and Gaza. His unit played an important role in making a strategy in Hamas’s attack on Israel on 7 October 2023.
Big shock for humas
Israeli officials have described Tabash’s death as a big shock for Hamas. The IDF says that the death of the cynic will cause serious damage to Hamas’ intelligence and the ability to coordinate attacks on the Israeli army. During the war for the last one year, the unit of Cowsh was responsible for monitoring Israeli military activities in Gaza, directing attacks on IDF forces and shaping Hamas’s strategic plans. His death can severely weaken Hamas’s intelligence and military capabilities.
